Today started out with a bowl of my High Protein Scramble with 1 banana instead of 1/2 banana and sweet potato.

After teaching 2 spin rides, 2 strength workouts, and a 6 mile run the past two days, my body was craving a day of rest. I listened and decided to sleep in a bit this morning (which felt great by that way!). I have a full day of classes ahead of me, so this little extra time in the morning to relax is actually really nice!
Last night, after an extremely long day at school, I came home to a very pleasant surprise!
A few days ago, I found out I won Round 3 of the health4elf challenge I participated in over the holiday season. Two great bloggers, Elle and Lindsay, put together this awesome challenge which consisted of 3 rounds, 2 week each, where the participants were paired up with each other and became each other’s elf and motivator while tackling the assigned challenges. At the end of Round 3, Elle and Lindsay named me best elf for the week for motivating and encouraging other elfs throughout the 2 weeks. I am so honored to have been picked – thanks Elle and Lindsay!
Lindsay sent me a box of swag for being the winner and I tore it open as soon as I walked through the door last night. It was like it was Christmas all over again!
