Snow Day, Anchors, and Eats!

Good Morning!

Nemo hit pretty hard last night, but luckily we didn’t get any of the big wind gusts – just a few 10 inches

Yesterday, before it got bad outside, Mom and I ventured out to run a few errands and grab lunch. We decided to head to the mall and stopped at a favorite of ours, Joe’s American Bar and Grill. We both got their turkey burger – it’s SO good! It even comes with sweet potato fries – my favorite

I was very hungry, so the picture is after a couple bites

I got an order of steamed broc on the side!

Afterwards, we walked around for a bit and I ended up finding these gems and splurging a bit!

I. Love. Anchors.

Once it started getting worse otuside, we headed home and realized we were going to be in for the night.

Sooooo, that called for homemade hot chocolate for a snack, fish tacos for dinner, and a baking experiement for brownies (which turned out good flavor wise, but still needs some tweaking!)

Mom and I plopped on the couch after dinner and watch movies – great way to end a snowed-in day

This morning, I got a chance to sleep in! We had to postpone our fundraiser until next weekend due to the storm

However, this happened and as I climbed out of bed, I had to immediately put on snow clothes and get to work!

It wasn’t exactly what I wanted to do right out of bed, but we got it done and mom made us this awesome breakfast

My usual oats and a 1egg/3eggwhite fritatta with onions, mushrooms, canadian bacon, and a bit of goat cheese

A great way to finish off the morning

Now it’s time for me to get some work done and take advantage of some relaxation time!

Question: What’s your favorite way to spend a snow day?

Mine would be on the couch with a cup of homemade hot chocolate watching movies and catching up on TV shows! Sometimes, baking is included in there somewhere
